ABOUT ME
For over 12 years, I have been immersed in the world of graphic design, and I can wholeheartedly say it’s a passion that fuels me every day. Interestingly, my journey began in a completely different field—I initially pursued a degree in criminal justice. However, it didn't take long for me to realize that the serious nature of law enforcement wasn't quite suited to my personality. I found it hard to imagine myself pulling someone over without cracking a joke or smiling.
During a pivotal conversation with my academic advisor, I was asked, "What else interests you?" Without hesitation, I replied, "I enjoy playing around with Photoshop, and I feel there's a creative spark in me waiting to be unleashed." Encouraged by this revelation, I enrolled in my first graphic design classes the following semester. From that moment on, I was captivated, and I've never looked back.
My professional journey has been dynamic and fulfilling. I started in Marketing Communications, steadily advancing to roles such as Senior Graphic Designer and Creative Manager. For nearly eight years, I’ve been at JLL, honing my expertise in branding, typography, creative management, HTML coding, mentorship, and both internal and external communication. This multifaceted experience has shaped me into a well-rounded creative professional.
Outside of work, I cherish my time with my wife and our two rescue dogs (@WestLoopBoyz). Together, we love to explore the vibrant streets of Chicago and indulge in our shared passion for dining out, probably a bit too frequently. Our adventures often extend beyond Chicago, particularly to Europe, where we soak up the history, culture, and, of course, the incredible cuisine.
My enthusiasm for graphic design spills over into my personal life. I dedicate a significant portion of my free time to creating art that pushes the boundaries of my imagination, often incorporating AI technology to explore new creative horizons.
Every day, I am grateful for a career that aligns with my passion and a personal life rich with love and creativity. Waking up each morning to do what I love is a privilege I never take for granted.
